How Does an Insurance Agent Spend a Workday?
Video Transcript
Hello, my name is Jerry Becerra. I’m with Barbary Insurance Brokerage, and today we’re going to talking about a number of property and casualty insurance issues. People ask me, how does an insurance agent spend his work day? And it’s a busy day, lots of phone calls, lots of emails, lots of client contact and company contact. You want to get good service out of your agent and so you need to be sort of aware of what’s on their plate. Insurance agent if they’re any good are very busy people. So they’re probably fielding questions from clients, they’re rating coverage, they’re negotiating with insurance companies and they’re working on things on a deadline. They may have escrow closings, they certainly have dates when their policies are renewing, they have to get those things out on time. So if your calling in for a quote and you need service on your policy or your just trying to get something done. A good way to get the best service out of your agent if they’re a very busy person is to first of all make a commitment to work with a agent. Find the agent that’s right for you, someone that you can really trust and then follow through with that person. If you shop around with ten agents you may get sort of wishy-washy results because they can tell that you’re not really committed to working with them. And then, you know just realize they’re very busy people, but they’re there to help you and that’s probably the most important thing to them. Is to make sure that you get good service on your coverage. This is Jerry Bucerra with Barbary Insurance Brokerage. I hope this was helpful for you.
